Kids In Need Foundation Partners with Sunny Delight Beverages Co.

The Kids In Need Foundation is pleased to announce a partnership with Sunny Delight Beverages Co. (SDBC) and the upcoming SunnyD® Book Spree. The program launches this August and will benefit the Kids In Need National Network of Resource Centers through a donation of up to $300,000 this year.

“Teachers across the country are currently spending more than $550 of their own money on classroom supplies each year,” said Dave Smith, executive director, Kids In Need Foundation. “The SunnyD Book Spree is a great way for teachers, parents, and even students to provide books and other supplies for their classrooms.”

There are two ways to participate in the SunnyD Book Spree. Option one provides twenty free books to every classroom that submits twenty valid SunnyD UPC codes, while supplies last. The second option is to submit valid UPC’s, which will, in turn, donate 10 cents to the Kids In Need Foundation for each UPC submitted. SDBC guarantees a donation of at least $100,000. KINF thanks Booz Allen Hamilton’s Dayton Ohio office for its ongoing support—helping us continue in our mission to provide free school supplies to students in need. Booz Allen’s Dayton, Ohio, employees have supported KINF through onsite volunteer opportunities and the collection of school supplies. In addition, the firm has engaged in a strategic pro bono project on KINF’s behalf—to formalize organizational goals and to evaluate program metrics to further strengthen KINF.
